This post-graduate manager training course is suitable for practicing senior managers with the authority and ability to translate organisational strategy into operational performance. typically reporting to the CEO or Board of Directors, they are accountable for the long term performance of a significant part of the organisation. It is expected that participants will already have substantial management knowledge gained either through extensive management experience and/or a previous management qualification at level 5.  

It leads to the Award in Strategic Management and Leadership awarded by the Chartered Management Institute. Achieving this qualification will not only boost performance but also enhance career prospects.

The difference between these three strategic management and leadership options is the number of units you study and pass. Each unit is given a “credit value”, and for each qualification there is a minimum number of “credits” to achieve. Soyou can choose the size of qualification that is just right for you. Later you can add more units and “upgrade” your qualification until you obtain the Diploma for your chosen management level.

Apart from the Diploma option where certain units are mandatory, it is possible to have a free choice over the units you wish to study for the Award and Certificate. This senior leadership and management qualification consists of one unit of learning. In order to achieve the qualification participants must successfully complete a written work-based assignment for the unit of around 3,000-3,500 words.
